In addition to desktop Anti-Virus protection, within the corporate environment you can add two other layers of anti-virus protection and these can be utilised by mail servers / proxy servers - that will scan messages before they get to your computer or by an Internet Service Provider, who will scan all messages before they are even received by your system.
