In a world of increased waste and environmental legislation the disposal and recycling of PC components, IT hardware and all types of redundant computer equipment has put growing pressure on companies to dispose of IT equipment in an environmentally friendly way.

In response to this Qubix Technology have introduced an IT disposal service - a disposal and recycling service designed to remove all of your redundant laptops, monitors, desktops and servers.

As part of our corporate responsibilities to our customers we have teamed up with a local charity "IT Schools Africa" (ITSA) to collect old IT equipment, which are then refurbished and sent out to schools in Africa.

By donating your surplus IT equipment via Qubix Technology, you will be helping improve the education of hundreds of thousands of African children.

To date, ITSA has distributed over 20,000 computers to around 1,000 schools in Africa and trained over 650 African teachers in IT.

Reasons to donate your old IT Equipment

It's low-cost
Donating equipment is a low-cost way of disposing of IT equipment. 

It's secure
ITSA place the highest priority on data security.  All hard drives are erased using Killdisk software which complies with US Department of Defence Standard 5002-22 for data erasure

It's WEEE compliant
ITSA is fully compliant with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment regulations and is registered with the Environment Agency.

It's environmentally friendly
The equipment donated to ITSA can expect at least another four to five years of very useful life in Africa.  At the end of life ITSA collect the computers from the schools and send them to a facility in South Africa for complete recycling.

It's ethical
Donating to ITSA is a responsible way of disposing of equipment that deliver many benefits to the recipients.
